An intensive introductory class in Chinese Mandarin to students entering the 9th grade, which moves twice as fast as Chinese 1A and 1B. It covers 14 lessons of conversational Chinese and 12 lessons of reading and writing Chinese. The class emphasizes pronunciation, Pinyin romanization, grammar, speaking and writing proficiency. Students will be able to master 600 vocabulary compounds and 200 traditional characters by the end of this level.
