A rapid but thorough review of Latin IA takes about three months, followed by introduction to the remaining chapters in the text.
New forms: comparison of adjectives and adverbs; pronouns--additional demonstratives, indefinite, intensive, reflexive; all tenses of infinitives and subjunctives, active and passive; deponent verbs and irregular verbs.
New syntax: uses of infinitives--subjective, objective, and in indirect statement; use of participles; ablative absolute, major uses of subjunctive--hortatory, purpose, result, with verbs of fearing, substantive volitive, in indirect question and cum descriptive clauses; sequence of tenses.
