My Parents
My parents are married,
But they are different.
My Dad sleeps a lot,
And sleep is what my mom lacks.
Dad does the yard work,
Mowing the lawn, watering the plants.
Mom does the paperwork.
Paying bills, writing letters.
Dad is always watching T.V.
He claims he doesn’t.
And Mom is always turning it off.
She likes peace and quiet.
Dad always drives here on the island because he lived here.

When driving on vacation, Mom drives
Because Dad gets frustrated easily and is more likely to make wrong turns.
Together they make the

team.
