A
Starry Sky
They
sleep during the day,
Showing
their faces
After
the sun vanishes beneath the horizon.
They
shine ever so brightly
Against
the pitch black sky.
They
seem to have no pattern whatsoever.
Scattered,
it seems,
As
if someone took a handful of them,
And
threw it up into the sky.
If
you look carefully,
And
believe,
You’ll
see Orion, Gemini, Canis Major,
And
their other friends.
Really,
the sky becomes the canvas
Behind
an extraordinary masterpiece of lights.
Visible
only at night,
And
its meanings only visible to those
Who
believe.
