Even though you

pester me to wake up at 5:30 in the morning,

rush me to get ready,

fix my hair when I said I already combed it,

threaten to leave me home if I'm not ready by 6:15 A.M.

make me listen to 92.3 KSSK,

embarrass me in front of my friends,

and force me to finish my homework by 8:30 P.M.,

I still appreciate that you

make Pop Tarts for breakfast,

take leave to drive me to school,

pay my expensive tuition,

make me ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch,

drive me to tennis matches,

cook warm, creamy chicken casserole for dinner,

help me study for tests and quizzes,

and most importantly,

love me.

I know you will always stand behind the fence

to cheer me on at all my tennis matches.
