the green turf field
sprinkled with little black rubber,
I can sense an aura of
pride, surrounding
his 5'8" muscular body,
He stands there
staring off into space
and having that supermodel
pose at the same time
then he strolls to the huddle
and tells his players,
"Have a good game out there,"
in a calm but firm manner.
He is my dad.
