Appreciation

 

You wake me up exactly at 5:00 every morning;

And drive me to school through the dark and cold morning.

Then, rush from work to school to pick me up.

I appreciate that.

 

You train me to be the best basketball player that I can be.

Three days of the week you have to stop work early to coach my team and I;

And deal with all the mischievous ones that do not want to be there.

I appreciate that.

 

You teach me the unique traditions of the ancient Hawaiians;

like how to construct and utilize an imu (An underground oven).

You love me so dearly and I love you back

I appreciate that.

 

Thank you father for everything you did and will do for me.

You are the foundation of my house;

always holding me up when I'm feeling down.
