My Best Friend

She is loyal and loving,

a dependable buddy.

She is protective of loved ones yet sociable to friends.

A companion, a playmate and a real true friend.

With her tail wagging, she smiles at me.

Her eyes dance with delight.

She jumps with excitement as she bounds for the door.

The enemy has arrived; stray cats are outside!

She appreciates simple pleasures in life.

She sniffs and digs as she hunts for treasure.

Satisfied with a scrap, a morsel or scooby snack.

She lives for praise, attention, and care.

She is happy and cheerful and easy to please.

Tall and majestic, she stands at attention.

She has beautiful soft silky ears, a fat belly and a long nose.

Her tail is a weapon that can whip you if you are too close.

But worst of all she has terrible gas and a smelly rear end!

You make me happy and you make me smile.

We have so many fun times together.

With you, life is a great adventure.
