Warning

When I am a high school graduate

I can live on my own.

I can wear t-shirts, plain and faded jeans,

and the same old blue jacket.

I will cook my own spaghetti, chicken, and salad.

I will graduate from UH Manoa and become a veterinarian.

I will watch the USA channel and go to bed late.

I will have a house and garden

and live in Kaneohe.

I would advise you to get a good job

and live life to its fullest.

But now I have to go to school

to get good grades,

to get up at 5:00 a.m.

and to eat take out food from Burger King.

But in four years I'll be free

and become a veterinarian,

wearing faded jeans and the same

blue jacket.
