Tranqulity

Just loud enough to catch

the low hum on the passing breeze,

a flock of birds chirp a melody.

The sun beams

a precise spotlight,

glowing the brownish red, flawless wood of the temple in this valley.

There is no need to rush;

burdens are lifted as I inch along the bridge.

The wind shakes nearby trees;

leaves slowly fall to rest on ground.

Small ripples stir the water

as swans calmly glide across the pool.

I glance forward,

walking down the stone walkway.

Perfectly sanded pillars curve into long cylinders;

the smooth wood cools my fingers.

A noiseless atmosphere.

Like the trees,

I feel as though one by one

my worries are released.
