Triple H was relatively unknown when he debuted in the WWF in 1996. But he was a member of the "kliq" and used it to his advantage in the Titan suits. He won the IC title from Mark Mero at an October, 1996 event. HHH seemed to have all of the ladies but Mero stole his "prized jewel" Sable. HHH enjoyed a 4 month title reign in the WWF until he lost it to Rocky Maivia on February 13, 1997 at a Thursday RAW Thursday special event. HHH then went downhill after that on a long losing streak.
With fellow kliq members Scott Hall and Kevin Nash gone from the WWF, HHH seemingly had nowhere to go, and nothing to do. Life basically sucked for the former IC Champion, until he won the 1997 King of the Ring, which restarted his career. HHH had all the tools, but just couldn't get completely over with the fans. That is, until he, HBK, and Chyna came together and formed D-Generation X. HHH was Michaels lackey at the beginning but came out on top when he defeated Sgt. Slaughter at a November IYH in a boot camp match. Slaughter tried to get back at them by making HHH wrestle HBK for the European Title. HHH punched HBK once softly and HBK fell over as HHH won the European Title, while mocking the Sarge. This was the way of life in dX.
His injury in mid June led to him losing the
European Title when Goldust subbed for him and lost to Owen Hart.
HHH basically was once again on the backburner until Wrestlemania 14 when
HBK lost the WWF title due to Mike Tyson interference. HBK thought
Tyson was on his team and when Tyson helped out Austin, HHH went nuts.
The next night on RAW, while HBK was in Texas, HHH pushed himself into
main event status by saying HBK dropped the ball and it was time to create
the dX army by joining up with the New Age Outlaws and after that, X-Pac.
HHH currently is involved in a feud with the Nation, while putting on skits
like DX invaded WCW, and dX in New York. With HHH as the leader,
it is looking up in the future for him and the rest of dX.
Chyna came into the WWF as the bodyguard of
HHH after studying under "Killer" Kowalski and wrestling in some independents
under her real name of Joanie Lee. She has made her presence known as she
has won HHH a lot of matches due to interference. Against Owen Hart,
she was locked in a cage above the ring but bent the steel bars and go
out and helped her man win. She also has injured the former wife
of Goldust, Marlena. She is the main bodyguard of dX and always finds
a way to flex her muscle.

After ending the Smoking Gunn's, Billy Gunn took some time off. Jesse James also had been taking some time off since the Roaddog/Jeff Jarrett scandal. So at about the same time, these men returned to the ring and together, they formed a new attitude and a new tag team.
These two men have caused havoc among the Tag Team scene by interfering in matches and making rude comments that seem to tick everyone off. They have created tons of enemies, but have frustrated nobody as much as the Legion of Doom. They are basically responsible for ending the LOD reign and making them go back to there old ways as a part of LOD 2000 with Sunny. The NAO used such tricks as handcuffing Hawk to the ropes and then pounding on Animal to make them mad. The final blow was shaving off the hair on Hawk's head which led to the decimation of the LOD. The anger made the LOD not think right which led to the NAO defeating the LOD for the WWF Tag Titles.
Minus a small one day period without the Tag
titles, lost a match to Cactus Jack and Terry Funk(Chainsaw Charlie) at
a PPV then won them back the next day, the NAO have pretty much dominated
the Tag Scene. New teams like Mankind/Kane and the NOD are now lining
up to take shots at the current WWF Tag Team Champions of the World, The
Roaddog Jesse James, Bad Ass Billy Gunn, the NEW AGE OUTLAWS!!!
X-Pac had wrestled before in the WWF as the
1-2-3 Kid, picking up surprising wins over Razor Ramon and Ted Dibiase.
But when he returned to the WWF on March 30, 1998, he brought a whole new
attitude, typical of dX. X-Pac grabbed a microphone and begin to
rag on WCW and Eric Bischoff. Ever since then, he has been the leading
outspoken vocalist of the hatred that dX has for WCW. He made his
return to the ring just last week in a KOTR qualifying match against HHH
but lost via countout due to the interference of the Black Heart, Owen
Hart. Once he gets fully healed from his neck injuries, expect big
thinks from this kid.
