Dragons were originally known to be good and friendly creatures. They became evil when the Christians confused those peace-loving creatures with symbols of evil. This is how those dragons became fire-breathing creatures we know today. Dragons were at least sixty feet tall when they reached adulthood but kept growing like some reptiles do. The scales on dragons were green so they could camouflage in the forest. Their underside was bright yellow especially on female dragons. Dragons have spiked or spaded tails and big bat wings. The females' feet have well adapted claws for digging, so they often lay more than one egg at one time.
There are also different types of dragons. There are flying, flightless, and water dwelling dragons. Flying dragons often only fly at night and easily are confused with eagles and condors. They are incredibly hard to see because their changing colors fit their surroundings. It is believed that dragons have a wingspan only ten feet long. Flying dragons are believed to live at once volcanic mountain sites.
There are also water dwelling dragons. These dragons tend to spend their whole lives in bodies of water with outlets leading to the ocean. Sometimes the dragons migrate and become fish eaters when the water freezes over. They have long necks, small heads, and many sharp teeth. They also have paddle like legs to maneuver in the water.
Another type of dragon is the flightless dragon. These dragons are mostly found in the Caribbean or Mexico. These dragons are not aggressive toward humans. These dragons also have the power of making rain.
