Medieval Entertainment

Medieval entertainment originated from simple people walking around and telling stories. This was the only source of entertainment back then. Ever since then entertainment has grown. In the medieval times there were many more types of sources of entertainment rather than stories. There were now Maypole dances, games, puppet shows, and many more types of various entertainment. Maypole dances were dances where people would dance around the maypole. They would intertwine with each other creating a design around the pole. There were also many different types of games like Chess, Football, Skittles, hunker hausen, and many more types of games. There were two different types of puppet shows. There was the known show where the audience would know what they were going to watch. There also was the unknown puppet show where the audience had no idea of what they were watching. Medieval entertainment has evolved from just stories to all sorts of wonderful ways of entertaining the medieval person.
