Robin Hood

"Robin Hood the brave"

said the children on the street.

And all from Sherwood forest

thought what a guy to meet.

He stole from the rich

to give to the poor.

He helped the weak

and his fame grew more.

The Sheriff of Nottingham

came with his men.

They were armed to the teeth

and they numbered ten.

Robin Hood and Little John

were walking on the path.

teasing King John's babyness

bringing the Sheriff's wrath.

Off they ran like lightning

through the woods they sped.

While King John cursed and yelled out loud

for John's and Robin's head.

Maid Marian heard the clamor

she went outside to see

The handsome outlaw Robin Hood

down on bended knee.

The merrymen and newlyweds

were singing with great joy.

Not noticing the peril

nor the Sheriff's ploy.

By dawn the merrymen and John

had a rope around their throat.

But good old Robin cut them lose

and they crossed the castle's moat.

The happy group laughed and sung

and saw around the bend

King Richard and his Crusaders

And this is my story's end.
