The Iolani Boys Junior Varsity Tennis Team emerged victorious over Mid-Pacific Institute in the season-opening tournament on Monday, winning three of five matches.

First doubles action was intense, as freshman Daniel Adachi and sophomore Daniel Igawa fought their way to a (6,2) (7,5) victory. After a comfortable first set, both Adachi and Igawa struggled to hold serve, but their serve-volley strategy and aggressive net-work pulled them through in the second set.
