Welcome to the Wonderful Wetlands Project Homepage

Hosted by

Iolani School, 7th Graders

Schools from the United States and Australia came together with the vision of a global collaboration in the study of wetlands. Over the last three years, students from these schools have been in communication, sharing information and data. They include Turningpoint School, Northolm Grammar School, Oregon Episcopal School, and Goulburn Valley Grammar School. Iolani School offered to host the joint web archive for the project. The five schools have been working toward a shared summer experience, which will occur this summer 2003 in Australia. Listed below are some of the projects that came out of this joint venture.

These are some of the teachers involved in planning the international collaboration. They met in Hawaii (Kawainui Marsh in background) in the summer of 2002 to work out the details of the project. Thank you to these innovative and bold educators!!
